Funky Review:

Kid Sister - Ultraviolet

'Ultraviolet' is the debut album from Chicago rapper Kid Sister. Providing an individual voice in the male-dominated hip-hop industry, Kid Sister is a modern throwback to the golden age of female MCs. The influence of Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah and MC Lyte have been delightfully incorporated with the current electro house and Baltimore club scene. Featuring guest producers (Herve, Spank Rock, Sinden) and collaborators (Kanye West, Estelle), the album is an excellent introduction to one of hip hop's brightest talents. Includes the singles 'Control' and 'Pro Nails' featuring the aforementioned Kanye West.
