L.E.D Festival - Victoria Park

Having already announced what can only be described as a mind-blowing initial line-up that includes exclusive London performances from international superstar David Guetta, and the legendary Leftfield, electronic queen Goldfrapp, Soulwax, Calvin Harris (Live), Audio Bullys, Tiga, Friendly Fires, Aphex Twin and Annie Mac London’s newest and most exciting electronic dance event, L.E.D. Festival is proud to announce a host of new names for the August Bank Holiday Weekend in Victoria Park. Covering all bases the latest additions include a host of hotly tipped acts, the brightest stars from the UK’s burgeoning urban scene that is currently taking over the pop charts and the prime movers and shakers in all things bass.

Adding even more heavyweight action to proceedings Italian musical misfit Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo AKA Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77 will be donning his Venom mask to deliver the blend of razor sharp American hardcore riffage and the euphoric European dance sophistication that has made him a true musical phenomenon of recent times. With a sell out show at London’s Coronet already under his belt, Bloody Beetroots’ revolutionary and anarchic live set will showcase his sizzling hit record ‘Warp’ and debut album ‘Romborama’, so expect nothing less than dancefloor ignition from one of the hottest acts on the planet.

Riding the recent wave of Brrrap Pack chart stormers, Professor Green has been catapulted to fame with his INXS sampling chart success ‘I Need You Tonight’. The self-professed music aficionado, who was raised a stones throw from Victoria Park, successfully infiltrated the mainstream via London’s unforgiving battle contests where he scooped accolades from fans and judges alike before becoming Lily Allen’s support act of choice. Littering his lyrics with wry pop culture references, a sharp sense of humour and an honesty rarely found in rap music right now, Professor Green is one of the most exciting talents to crossover in 2010.

Renowned for the searing quality of his DnB productions, man of the moment Sub Focus is on a roll with genre-smashing tracks like ‘Could This Be Real’ and recent DnB anthem ‘Splash’ cementing his reputation as a true crowd favorite. Digital Soundboy head honcho and Original Nuttah Shy FX is world renowned as one of the pioneers of Jungle and has been fusing Breaks, Ragga and Drum n Bass for almost 20 years. A visionary whose music has truly stood the test Shy FX will be keeping the liquid fans happy with his summery vibe and a bag full of anthems.

Boy Better Know AKA brothers in Grime JME and Skepta are the act responsible for the uncontrollably catchy club phenomenon ‘Too Many Man (We Need Some More Girls In Here)’ will also be bringing their bass laced sound to L.E.D. Festival. With Skepta’s critically lauded Rinse 04 mix, two full lengths ‘Greatest Hits’ and ‘Microphone Champion’ and the duo’s eponymous label, Boy Better Know are proven talents that are a guaranteed to cause a dancefloor ruckus. With top underground club hit ‘Wile Out’ featuring Ms Dynamite launching a new era, 2010 is set to be a fantastic year for the ex-DnB icon DJ Zinc who will take to the stage with his new ‘crack-house’ sound.

L.E.D are delighted to welcome twisted disco doyens Hed Kandi as exclusive hosts of the Hospitality Arena on Friday 27th August.   The Hed Kandi crew know how to add a touch of glamour to proceedings with their dazzling take on dirty disco that will come courtesy of their world renowned residents including Phil Faversham, Dean Rigg, Sarah Louise and Nathan Lee plus the inimitable Dean Oram on Percussion and Annie on Sax.
