Move to the Darkside!

The W595 has an awesome YouTube application which allows you to capture everything from creepy crawlies to scary sights on the phone's 3.2 megapixel camera, and upload your footage directly to YouTube.

On October 8th, at One Marylebone Road, hidden within the musky vaults of London, a haunted evening took place that gave you the chance to converse with the spirits and experience some frights along the way. Our experienced ghost hunter will have briefed you throughout the evening, equipping you with the Sony Ericsson W595 - the finest piece of ghost hunting technology out there.

As "trick or treat" rung through the halls of the night, the party was split into two zones to experience the delights of The Darkside. Zone one was designed for those with a strong disposition, with the chance to step inside our ‘Darkside Pod' to see how long you could last before you screamed. Zone two was for those ready to get started on their Sony Ericsson W595. With the use of intelligent lighting and special effects, enthusiasts were able to capture ghost like images using the impressive 3.2 megapixel camera and experience the eerie apparitions lurking around the venue's gothic presence.

The ghost like images and your reactions from the Darkside Pod were recorded on the W595 so we could upload them to YouTube and the Darkside micro-site www.W595-thedarkside.com. Each participant was given a card with the micro-site URL to check out their films, so if you're brave enough to go through it all again you can share your experiences with your friends and family!

Kicking off at the end of October, around Halloween time, the Darkside Pod will be placed around different universities including Sheffield Hallam, UCLAN, Warwick and Surrey, where it'll be scaring students on campus throughout the day. With the ghoulish Pod placed in prominent positions, student's terrified reactions will be captured on the W595 and entered into a competition on the Darkside micro-site - the most petrified-looking winning the Sony Ericsson W595.

And if all of the above isn't enough to get you in the spirit of Halloween then we've themed a Facebook application to help you spook your individual friends, groups or your whole network. With quirky icons you can also personalise your own profile picture and stand out from your friends. The application will message your friends with footage and stories of eerie goings on that revolve around you, and that's where the fun all begins...
