Ray Dar Vees - Heart Attack Single

South Londoners Ray Dar Vees release their debut single this spring. Since forming last Summer they’ve caused an uproar with their killer hooks, heart felt lyrics and haunting vocals. ‘Heart Attack’ could easily become the sing-along- smash of this (hopefully) sun soaked summer.

Despite not owning an amp or drum kit between them at the beginning of the year the band decided to concentrate solely on their song writing. This unconventional way of thinking has led to some of the most beautiful and heartfelt lyrics penned by a band of their age in a long time.

Heart Attack is epic ,dark and  poignant in equal measure; a perfect showcase for Fred’s unique and beguiling vocals. Even though the song is drenched in late 80’s indie there is still an amazing pop sensibility. Ray Dar Vee’s wear their influences on their sleeves think Echo and the Bunnymen, Suede with the dancability of T-Rex. The track was produced by Craig Silvey who has worked with Arcade Fire, The Horrors, The Coral and Magic Numbers. He fell in love with them after listening to just one demo and instantly jumped at the chance to produce them.

Even though the band are narrowly out of their teens and only played their first live show a few months ago, they’ve managed to attract a lot of attention with Xfm adding them to the evening playlist, a General Fiasco support slot and a  growing fanbase all built through reputation alone.

Ray Dar Vees are  South Londoners Fred (Vocals/ Bass/ Keys), Matt (Guitar/Keys), Gary (Drums/Percussion).
